I don't know about anyone else but I am getting really excited about the new football season, with only a couple of weeks until the football league fixtures start in England, there is not long to wait!
You will hear us mention time and time again that Betfair trading is all about gaining an edge and hammering that home time after time to earn money over the long run. Sounds easy right? Well it is, as long as you can find an edge. Fortunately, we have software, training and pro traders on hand to help you find one. Today I want to talk about one edge I have used to my advantage over the years and is usually pretty easy to spot and take advantage from, I call it - 'Historical Big Club Bias'.
One thing that the Betfair Trading Community is known for is it's real and frank discussions about downswings. Unlike other sites and services in this industry we actually talk about this reality which we know our members thank us for because learning to deal with it can be the difference between making money and losing money trading.
You will hear a lot today about Thiem facing the toughest test in tennis, beating Nadal on clay at Roland Garros. Nadal has only lost twice in his 80+ matches at this tournament, once to Djokovic and once to Robin Soderling (remember him?). For me the most incredible statistic about Nadal's success is that this is his 11th final and he has won all 10 before this. To win every final of a Grand Slam 10 times in a row is an incredible effort.

Murray's dogged style of never giving up but also taking his eye off the ball when ahead meant that for many of us Betfair Tennis traders he was a goldmine.
Now that the NFL draft is complete and free agency is all but wrapped up, it feels like a good time to start looking at the Superbowl 53 in Atlanta. A lot can happen between now and the start of the season in September (injuries to key players being the biggest threat to any long term trades but this does allow for some quite juicy odds in a fairly wide open field this year.
It's that time of the year when as traders we have to make some adjustments to our general trading to keep earning that precious living!
As the main European leagues come to an end there is a clear decision that traders like us must make. They are:
It is that time of year again when the bookmakers are full of every single person in the world trying to place a bet.
They have listened to that crazy lady who got in the bath with some weird candles and the racing post to pick that 50/1 winner if you didn't guess it already then its the Grand National!
The greatest T20 tournament in the world is again upon us and we thought we would give you a guide to trading it!
